We are a stable team that works collaboratively to provide investors with satisfying returns, consistent with reasonable risk. Our structure as one firm across investment disciplines gives us the advantage of diverse views in the service of a single focus.  With years of experience, our portfolio managers have also developed trusted relationships with the brightest general partners worldwide, allowing CPC managers to source proprietary fund investments and to enjoy access to unique opportunities.

The firm’s managers are in ongoing contact with all industry stakeholders, including other asset class investors, fund managers and general partners, financial institutions, industry sources, regional leaders, and global organizations.  So CPC portfolio managers are able to assemble and manage portfolios that are intelligently diversified by the number of investments, financing stages, geographic regions, industry sectors, and other significant fund characteristics, in order to produce returns superior to the public markets and successful by private equity industry benchmarks.

In August 1986, Constitution Private Advisers was founded under the brand of Crossroads Management Partners, L.P. to serve as the investment adviser to the Constitution Private Capital Strategies, L.P., our 30 year old original flagship strategy for principal fund investing. As one of the oldest private equity fund of funds registered investment advisory companies in the industry, Crossroads was combined into Crossroads Investment Company, L.P. in June 1996, which concurrently established a subsidiary third party fund advisory business, Crossroads Investment Advisers, L.P. and operated collectively under an expanded brand as The Crossroads Group.  The firm has advised and managed over $2 billion of discretionary and non-discretionary commitments in multiple private equity strategies, including investments in over 215 private equity funds holding over 4,500 portfolio company investments since its founding in 1986.  In 2003, The Crossroads Group sold its Crossroads brand and its third party fund advisory business to Lehman Brothers.  Crossroads Investment Company, L.P. subsequently assumed the firm’s original flagship brand as Constitution Private Advisers, L.P. continuing its 30-year history as the alternative asset private adviser to all Investment Strategies on the Constitution Private Capital Company platform  for its founder’s family office.
